Martha’s Vineyard, Thank you!
On Tuesday, August 6th, The Spy Behind Home Plate was shown at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center. The film was shown as part of a film festival called Doc Week 2019. Spy’s showing consisted of a full house and was followed by a Q&A with director Aviva Kempner.
To make the night even more special, head of OSS Society, Charles Pinck, joined Kempner at the packed screening and the Q&A. With Moe Berg conducting espionage for the OSS, this was a special moment for Kempner and the film. Pinck talked about the OSS’s invasion of Martha’s Vineyard, you can read his account here!
Full House in Santa Fe and Pittsburgh
.
For the past three months, Spy has been stringing together successful weekends and that trend continued this past weekend with packed movies theaters in Santa Fe and Pittsburgh on Saturday night. The screenings were shown at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Santa Fe and The Manor Theater in Pittsburgh. According to our sources, both audiences gave applause at the end of their respective screenings. Hearing stories like that means a lot to The Ciesla Foundation and director Aviva Kempner.
